What LKG children usually practise

Most LKG classes in India focus on a few core skills. These worksheets cover each of them:

• Capital and small letters — traced with numbered start points and arrows so children learn the right way to form each letter.
• Numbers 1–20 — tracing, writing the number word and colouring the right number of pictures.
• Pencil control — straight, slanted, wavy and looped lines that prepare little hands for writing.
• Early reading — picture words such as “A is for apple” and simple theme words.
• Focus — easy and medium mazes that build patience and planning.

How to use them at home

Little and often works best. Try one or two pages a day for 10–15 minutes, and stop while it is still fun. Start with the pencil-control lines, then move to letters and numbers. Let your child colour a star at the bottom of each finished page and fill in the progress chart — small wins keep them going.

Slip a page into a plastic sleeve and use a dry-wipe marker if you want to practise the same page again and again.
